Carlsberg Export & License (CE&L) is the company within Carlsberg Group responsible for export and license business in all markets, where Carlsberg does not have a brewery. We sell approximately 3 billion bottles of beer & cider in 100 markets globally.

CE&L has an innovative growth strategy and is looking for a new personality with proven commercial and trade marketing skills who can work across different cultures in an environment that offers multiple challenges and opportunities. 

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be our commercial lead in Greenland and be the anchor point between Greenland and CE&L in Copenhagen. Your primary task will be to develop and advance the Carlsberg business by developing and implementing market and brand strategies & plans. This includes everything from developing the plan to actual in-store execution

Your primary responsibilities and tasks include:

  • P&L responsible for Greenland
  • Be our commercial lead proactively oversee the overall business in Greenland.
  • Development of annual and long-term brand plans in close cooperation with relevant partners and support functions (marketing, sales, production, commercial etc)
  • Build comprehensive market/customer/consumer understanding and draw out key insights needed to ensure growth
  • Maintain and develop close relationships to partners, key wholesalers & key customers in key cities
  • Provide HQ based management with market, customer and consumer insights including monthly & quarterly management reporting
  • Own and develop the Tuborg and Carlsberg brand plans in Greenland incl. execution of key local activity plan
  • Instrumental developing the brand portfolio to further strengthen our position in the Greenlandic market
  • Coordinate POS material and participate in activities, events across customers incl. following up on uplift
  • Key contributor to all commercial communication across customers & markets incl. activations / consumer engagement

What We’re Looking ForPersonal and Functional Qualifications:

  • Sales experience and good negotiation skills
  • Have experience in developing brands & business in the retail sector with a winning attitude
  • Analytical and structured
  • Comfortable running multiple projects and overlooking budgets and plans
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Service minded towards customers, however with clear understanding of what is needed for the business
  • Should be prepared to perform the actual implementation of activities in-store
  • A light-hearted but enthusiastic person with a genuine personal commitment and proven experience with getting things done through taking ownership and driving towards results
  • A motivated personality who can run daily business independently

Educational/Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Relevant MSc. degree within Sales, Marketing or Business Management
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience within FMCG business
  • Relevant experience in Greenland Retail market is a prerequisite – Experience from on-trade is favourable.
  • Fluency in Danish & English (preferable also Greenlandic)
  • Accepting travelling as "part of the job" (around 30 days) a year
